This tool can be used to hit, open and split wood while the fire line is being made, or to access closed or confined spaces through doors in structural fires and rescue operations.
Ideal tool for cutting, opening and hitting.
DESIGN AND MATERIALS
The axe head is made of forged steel and is thermally treated to make it hard in the cutting area (50-55 RC), while maintaining ductility in the area where the handle is inserted (30-35 RC). It transmits the least amount of vibration to the user, achieving a piece that responds optimally to the demands of our customers, both in terms of durability and in comfort of use.
The fiberglass handle makes the axe maintenance free. One end of the axe head has a wedge so that when it is nailed, it moves apart the cut parts. The opposite end of the head can be hit to achieve greater penetration, or it can be used as a sledgehammer to hit.
